Kechi Okwuchi, a remarkable survivor of a devastating plane crash in Nigeria, has achieved another milestone in her life by earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with distinction. Okwuchi’s journey is a testament to resilience and determination, as she overcame severe injuries and pursued her education with unwavering resolve.

On December 10, 2005, a tragic plane crash claimed the lives of 107 out of 109 passengers. Okwuchi, who was only 16 at the time, sustained third-degree burns over 65% of her body and was given just a 30% chance of survival. Despite these dire odds, she fought through the pain and numerous surgeries to rebuild her life.

Following the crash, Okwuchi was airlifted to Milpark Hospital in South Africa for urgent medical care, and later transferred to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Texas. There, she underwent over 100 surgeries to reconstruct her injuries. Her perseverance and strength during this arduous recovery period were nothing short of extraordinary.
