Kendrick Lamar paid homage to Tupac Shakur in a grand fashion at his recent “Pop Out” concert, thrilling fans with attire reminiscent of the late rap legend. The tribute was highlighted by an eye-catching, massive diamond accessory.
Renowned jeweler Ben Baller, who was a friend of Shakur, revealed to TMZ Hip Hop that Lamar requested a king’s cross last week. Baller, unaware of Lamar’s Tupac theme, found the collaboration particularly fitting given his personal connection to Shakur.

Lamar staunchly defended Shakur’s legacy against Drake’s AI-assisted diss track by performing “Not Like Us” five times during the concert. He sported a $600,000 diamond crucifix adorned with 73 carats of VVS clarity diamonds set in 18k white gold.
The dazzling display continued as Lamar performed alongside Dr. Dre, wearing jewelry worth $750,000, including a $150,000, 42-carat diamond Cuban link chain.
Despite the brewing 2024 Rap War, jeweler Baller emphasized that it’s all “California Love.” Due to his friendship with Drake, Baller chose to remain neutral and was absent from the Inglewood concert.
Lamar’s tribute and his powerful performances reaffirm his sweeping influence in the rap world, showing that he needs no assistance to leave his mark.
