The very first release date for the film was set for Dec. 25, 2024, making a pretty significant delay from what was initially planned.

While no official synopsis or plot details regarding Peele’s new film have been revealed, it is expected to stay in the realm of horror audiences have come to associate the acclaimed filmmaker with.

Peele’s directorial debut, Get Out, starred Daniel Kaluuya as a young Black man who uncovers a shocking secret while visting his white girlfriend’s family. Released in 2017, the film went on to gross $255 million at the global box office and win Peele an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and garner Kaluuya a Best Actor Oscar nomination.

His follow up, Us, starred Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Shahadi Wright Joseph, and followed a Black family hunted by their doppelgängers. Released in 2019, Us went on to gross $256 million worldwide against a budget of $20 million.

Peele’s most recent effort Nope, starred Kaluuya and Keke Palmer as siblings trying to capture evidence of an unidentified flying object.
